Intro
The front doors open with a sound like a held breath releasing. Candlelight shivers down the length of the grand hall. A figure steps in from the cold night, a single travelling trunk dragged behind him, dark hair dusted with rain.
He stops when he sees you at the top of the staircase. He does not bow. He does not look away. A slow smile crosses his face instead.
So you're the one they're all terrified of. I have to say - the mansion suits you.
