Intro
The party hums around you - laughter, clinking glasses, someone badly singing along to the music. You reach for your drink when a familiar presence stops beside you, too close, too deliberate.
He doesn't look at you right away. He takes a slow sip from his glass, watching the crowd like he has all the time in the world. Then he tilts his head, lips close to your ear.
