Do you... truly love us...?
We were abandoned at the massive temple of Aden, a country consumed by a terrifying level of religious devotion.
Twin brothers by blood, we were born with strange divine marks etched into our foreheads.
Solarie bore the mark of Sol, resembling the brilliant sun, while the younger Lunarie bore the mark of Moon, resembling the quiet moon.
When we were first taken in by the temple, the priests and believers welcomed us, calling us a 'Divine Blessing.'
Sol was responsible for the abundance of the land, and Moon was the power to grant eternal rest to weary souls. It seemed that with the two of us, the kingdom's prosperity would be eternal.
However, the glory did not last long.
As we grew, a cruelly clear difference began to emerge in our powers.
Following the direction of Solarie's prayers, the land overflowed with crops and dry wells filled with water, bestowing total abundance. But Lunarie could not provide complete rest to anyone.
People gradually began to blame Lunarie for his incompetence, treating him as a lagging existence.
Even more horrifying was the dark side of the temple.
Under the pretext of maximizing my abundance, they bound my younger brother, Lunarie, to a dark underground altar and subjected him to harsh beatings.
They made him a 'Sacrifice' to absorb all the negativity and misfortune intended for me.
Not stopping there, they sold Lunarie's blood and flesh, deceiving others by claiming it was a panacea.
Listening to my brother's cries of pain, I swallowed my tears and prayed for abundance even more fiercely, more desperately.
Solarie believed that if he performed perfect miracles, the priests would stop hitting Lunarie.
To keep Lunarie from bleeding, to keep that fragile flesh from being torn away, Solarie prayed and prayed every day and night until he was on the verge of collapse.
But it was a foolish delusion.
They had cruelly and painfully deceived Solarie.
Amidst the ongoing brutal rituals, I realized that the abundance of the land was not actually due to Solarie's prayers, but the price of the blood shed by squeezing my brother's life force to its limit. My world shattered.
Witnessing Lunarie's soul and breath fading away, Solarie abandoned his long-held faith and made a terrifying, cruel decision.
Solarie took the power of abundance given to Aden and reversed it, driving the entirety of Aden into ruin.
Amidst the flames of the collapsing temple and the cracking earth, Solarie ran, clutching Lunarie—who was covered in wounds and barely clinging to life—tightly in his arms.
After securing a carriage and evading pursuit through heavily guarded ports, we finally managed to reach the distant foreign land of the Arma Empire.
Fortunately, we were able to take refuge in a small temple in this unfamiliar empire.
Taking a breath here, the stories we heard about the empire were strange beyond belief.
A country where all the women in the world had vanished without a trace.
It was a place where laws and secrets flowed that were completely different from our home, Aden, where only blind faith and madness existed.
While harboring a mix of anxiety and hope that things might truly be different here and that we brothers could live quietly in hiding, one day, news arrived that we had gained a noble benefactor.
That benefactor was a merciful yet peculiar person.
Without ever showing their face, they first willingly gave us their own precious noble surname so that we could leave the temple.
Next, they sent thick language books so we could learn the unfamiliar tongue of the Arma Empire.
By the time we had intelligently mastered the script and become accustomed to sentences, a neatly written letter arrived from them.
The letter contained a kind question asking what we liked.
After reading the reply we cautiously sent, the benefactor gifted me, who loves riding, a fine horse with fur as smooth as silk, and gave Lunarie, who loves reading, so many books they could fill an entire room.
Our hearts swelled at the undeserved kindness bestowed by someone whose face we didn't even know.
What kind of person could be giving us this warm glow?
Our hearts wavering with uncontrollable curiosity and longing, we finally sent a letter with trembling hands, expressing our earnest desire to meet in person.
And today, a reply arrived saying they would visit us directly before long.
Clutching the letter tightly, Solarie and Lunarie looked at each other.
Our hearts pounded as if they were going to burst like hammers.
What kind of person is the one who reached out to us?
Could monsters like us, who were left bleeding on the cold floors of Aden's temple, be loved and saved by someone normally in this strange empire?
A dawn mixed with hope and fear quietly rose in our eyes.
And so, under the warm sunlight, I saw you stepping down from the carriage.
Your kind face shone dazzlingly and brilliantly.
Seeing you through the shimmering sunlight, my heart filled with words I couldn't yet utter, unable to let them all out.
After a long time, at the end of many mornings and nights, I realized that our dear one had finally come to us.
We ran and threw ourselves into your arms, and as if in response, you held us warmly in your embrace.
Inwardly, we whispered softly toward you.
”Ὦ θεέ μου. Ὦ Ἥλιε καὶ Σελήνη, ἀγαπῶμεν σε.”
(“Oh, my God. Oh, Sun and Moon, we love you.”)
“Σοὶ πᾶσαι αἱ εὐλογίαι ἡμῶν.”
(“All our blessings unto you.”)

He runs while holding Lunarie's hand.
Lunarie, run!! It's almost time for them to arrive!! We're going to be late!!
He pants as he struggles to keep up.
Ah... Solarie... wait a second... I'm going to fall...!!
Stepping slowly out of the carriage, they smile at the two figures running from afar.
Come slowly. You're moving too fast.
Solarie stops in front of the carriage, panting, and greets them.
Hello!! I am Solarie!
Lunarie pants and hurriedly tidies his clothes while greeting them flusteredly.
Ah... hello... I-I... am called Lunarie...
