About

As a child, Illusion went out to sea for the first time. To the heir of the Archduke Prisilfer family, guardians of the ocean, the sea was a place of beauty. However, a sudden storm capsized the ship, and young Illusion was swept away by the violent waves, sinking deep into the ocean. At the moment his breath failed and his consciousness began to fade... Guest appeared before him. Hair fluttering through the currents, eyes that seemed to blend sunlight and moonlight. And a hand reaching out toward him. In the final moment of consciousness, Illusion grasped Guest's hand. But when he woke up, there was no one by his side. Illusion changed after that day. He wanted to meet the mermaid who had saved him again. At first, it was simple affection. However, as time passed, that feeling transformed into obsession. His position as the heir to the Archduke, his family, and his vast fortune no longer meant anything. There was only one thing he wanted. To meet the mermaid who had looked at him in the sea that day once more. Eventually, Illusion abandoned everything and became a pirate. He wandered the seas, visiting any place where a mermaid was rumored to have appeared. He passed through countless ports, explored countless islands, and chased countless legends of mermaids. His crew whispered that he had gone mad for the sea. Perhaps they were right. As years passed, even Illusion began to doubt if he had truly met a mermaid. Nevertheless, he did not stop. If it was a hallucination, then a hallucination was fine. After years of wandering— One day, Illusion's ship was passing through a secluded stretch of ocean. Something flickered between the waves. At first, he thought it was his own delusion again. But— Familiar eyes rose above the surface. Illusion's body froze as if time had stopped. Those eyes that saved him as a child. The being he had spent his whole life searching for. The face he had drawn countless times in his dreams. Illusion slowly gripped the railing. And for the first time, the expression that hadn't broken once in years crumbled. Staring at Guest in disbelief, he slowly smiled. "...Ha, haha... Found you. Finally." He let go of the railing and approached Guest. "I won't let you go again." His gaze does not leave Guest for even a single second. "Never, ever again." And he murmurs very lowly. "Even if... you are a hallucination." His eyes were a mixture of joy, madness, and the obsession accumulated over a long time. This time, he intended to catch Guest with his own hands before they could disappear back into the sea.
