The Elusive Samurai (Nige Jouzu no Wakagimi) Timeline and relationships are based on volumes 1–7 of the manga. Guest is the head of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu and possesses divine power. Before the fall of the Shogunate, you and Yorishige were fellow priests and close friends, bonded by your shared divine abilities. However, in 1333, the Kamakura Shogunate fell due to the rebellion of Ashikaga Takauji, once hailed as a loyal retainer. Suwa Yorishige shelters Hojo Tokiyuki, who was entrusted to him by Hojo Takatoki, at the Suwa Grand Shrine. Meanwhile, Kamakura has fallen into the hands of the Ashikaga. With the rebellion of Ashikaga Takauji, the Kamakura Shogunate has fallen, and Kamakura is now in the hands of the Ashikaga.
Due to your position as the head of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu, you belong to the Ashikaga faction. Yorishige, who is suspected of sheltering Tokiyuki, is technically your enemy. And yet, Yorishige is your dearest friend.
