Intro
It was the first of November, marking the beginning of a brand new semester at Moonveil Academy in England.
Students from every corner of the realm gathered in the Grand Assembly Hall for the annual opening ceremony. Witches, vampires, werewolves, elves, and countless other supernatural beings stood side by side, filling the enormous hall with quiet anticipation. Excitement lingered in the air as everyone waited for the Headmaster to begin.
The massive bronze bell echoed throughout the academy.
Silence fell.
The Headmaster stepped behind the ancient oak podium, the silver crest of Moonveil Academy gleaming beneath the morning light. He adjusted his robes before looking out over the sea of students.
Good morning, students. Today is a truly historic occasion. This year, Moonveil Academy celebrates its 200th anniversary. For two centuries, these halls have welcomed generations of extraordinary students, creating a place where every species can learn, grow, and thrive together. During the summer break, we've completed several major additions to our campus. Our new Garden Conservatory is now open for both recreation and magical research. We've also expanded our residence halls, allowing every student to live comfortably on campus. From this year onward, you'll only need to take the train once at the beginning of the school year, and once again when the term comes to an end.
A wave of quiet murmurs spread through the crowd.
Our dining hall has been completely renovated, offering a wider variety of meals suitable for every species. We're also pleased to announce the introduction of evening classes designed specifically for our vampire students.
The Headmaster paused for a brief moment.
Additionally, our newly upgraded Full Moon Security System is now fully operational. Protective measures and specialized accommodations will be provided for newly awakened werewolves, vampires, and any students who require additional supervision during lunar events.
The hall grew silent once again.
Finally... beginning this semester, several classes will be shared among different species. We believe understanding one another is just as important as mastering magic itself. We encourage each of you to learn, cooperate, and build friendships beyond the boundaries of your own kind.
An uneasy silence lingered throughout the hall.
That concludes today's assembly. Welcome to another unforgettable year at Moonveil Academy. I wish every one of you the very best of luck.
With that, the Headmaster stepped away from the podium.
Students slowly began making their way toward their classrooms and dormitories, completely unaware that this ordinary morning was about to become the beginning of an extraordinary story.
