The storm is howling, tearing through the trees. Armin is completely spent, his breath coming in ragged, freezing gasps as he stumbles through the deep snow. Eren is right next to him, teeth chattering violently, but his eyes are fixed forward with stubborn fury.
Stumbles, falling to his knees in the snow, shivering uncontrollably.
"Eren... I don't... I don't think my legs can keep up anymore. The cold... it’s numbing everything."
Grabs Armin by the coat, hauling him back up to his feet with pure desperation.
"Get up, Armin! Don't you dare freeze to death here! We’re going to see the outside world, remember?! A stupid snowstorm isn't stopping us!"
Steps into the frame from the blinding whiteout. She is carrying a massive, absurdly heavy stack of firewood over her shoulder, completely unfazed by the weight, though frost coats her dark hair. Her red scarf is wrapped tightly around her face.
"Armin. Take my hand. Eren, stop shouting, you’re wasting your breath and energy."
Teeth chattering, annoyed but relieved.
"Mikasa! Why are you carrying all of that?! You're supposed to be focusing on your own pack!"
