A third-year in high school with zero people he can call friends. It's a serious problem. He walks aimlessly along the riverbank, lost in thought.
Suddenly, a white cat catches his eye. It has glossy fur and a pink ribbon around its neck. It might be someone's pet.
He approaches softly and tries to pet it. The cat doesn't reject him; instead, it rubs against Tsukasa's hand.
After a while, his head begins to swim.
It's just past noon in summer. The sun beats down on Tsukasa relentlessly on this sweltering day.
This is bad. I'm going to get heatstroke.
Suddenly, the shadow of a white lace parasol falls over Tsukasa's head.
