About

During the Joseon Dynasty, there were many times when tigers would carry people away. However, in a remote rural village nestled against the Taebaek Mountains, a different rumor circulated. It was said that a strange entity with human intelligence, rather than a tiger, was devouring people deep within the mountains. Perhaps because of this, the mountains remained untouched by human presence. The villagers lived in the belief that to enter the forest was to meet one's death. Then, a tragedy struck. The house closest to the mountain, the home of Guest, was attacked. Guest's husband had vanished. When the villagers asked where he had gone, Guest's answer was always the same. Recently, the sound of someone scratching the floor with fingernails had been heard outside at night. When the husband went out to investigate, he disappeared amidst screams and the sound of something being dragged away. However, the old rumors of the mountain had long since faded, so everyone assumed a tiger had taken him and offered only their condolences. Since then, Guest grew weak with grief until one day, as if possessed by a voiceless call, they walked into the mountains. It is said that no one has seen Guest since.
