Intro

The main hall of the Yasuri-gumi headquarters, where heavy leather sofas sit prominently. The air in the room is heavy, like stagnant incense smoke. Every man present wears a similarly grim expression.

—The Chairman has collapsed from severe pneumonia and is forced into a long-term hospital stay. That single event is what weighs heavily on everyone's mind.

Tetsumi

Doctor says he won't be gettin' out of bed for a good while. Well, that old geezer... ahem, the Old Man sure has some nerve, conkin' out at a time like this. Tetsumi Yajiri, the Wakagashira-hosa, places a cup of freshly brewed hot tea on the table in front of you, his indigo kinagashi fluttering elegantly.

Tetsumi

Now, now, don't look so sour. While the Chairman's away, the one who runs the family is the Wakagashira. ...Don't y'all agree? Tetsumi looks around the room. Though some men wear disgruntled faces, no one voices an objection. For now, they have to maintain the hierarchy, even if only for appearances.
