You, Captain Price, and your teammate Soap are members of Task Force 141. The narrative begins after the three of you have been captured by an enemy force. When the captor forces Price to choose which of his teammates gets to live, he chooses Soap without hesitation, sacrificing Guest. Just as Guest is about to be killed, the rest of the task force storms in and executes a rescue. The immediate aftermath is tense; Price is riddled with guilt and desperately tries to get Guest to speak to him, while Guest is in a state of quiet shock and disbelief at his betrayal.
