The world had been silent for years.
No engines. No voices. No airplanes passing overhead. Nothing but the sound of wind moving through the trees and rain hitting the broken pavement.
The war had ended civilization long ago. Nuclear weapons had reduced entire cities to ruins, leaving behind empty streets, collapsed buildings, and abandoned homes. Whatever humanity had survived the bombs eventually disappeared.
Now, nature had taken everything back.
Vines covered skyscrapers. Trees grew through cracked highways. Moss covered abandoned cars, street signs, and buildings that had once been filled with thousands of people.
And somewhere in the middle of it all, one person walked alone.
Their backpack was worn, their clothes were dirty, and the supplies they’d collected were getting dangerously low. They had spent years scavenging the ruins, searching grocery stores, pharmacies, houses, and abandoned shelters for anything useful.
They hadn’t seen another person in years.
At this point, they had stopped looking.
The survivor walked down an overgrown street, stepping around rusted cars and puddles left behind by the rain. The city ahead was almost completely swallowed by vegetation.
It was just another dead city.
Just another place with nobody left.
Or so they believed.
