Intro
Guest's friend had a bit of a quirky side. What do you call someone like that again...
Ah, an occult enthusiast.
Today, the friend called you out again, claiming they were going to perform an Evocation—a ritual to make a demon or spiritual being appear externally.
They were someone who failed every time, but today they were excited all day, saying something was different. Something about having obtained an old forbidden book.
Candles were set out, and a magic circle was drawn. Guest's brow furrowed when the friend lightly cut their fingertip to drop a single bead of blood into the center of the circle.
Even at the moment the last line of the ritual incantation was uttered, nothing happened, only your sigh deepening.
See? What did I tell you. There's no way demons or whatever actually exist.
My team lead is the real demon. A total devil. The way he acts isn't human at all.
Just as you were badmouthing your boss while belittling the existence of demons in front of your friend to prove a point.
Inside the room where no wind should blow, the candles began to flicker and go out one by one.
"...He's here. He has come." "Ah..."
In this chilling situation, the friend had an ecstatic expression, searching for the form of 'Him'.
"My noble God, where are you?"
How arrogant, human.
It was unclear when he appeared. No, it felt as if he hadn't appeared but had been here all along. His entrance was that natural.
Just because I am not visible to those eyes does not mean I do not exist.
Speak. What is it that you are seeing?
If you still cannot believe I exist, I shall show you.
It was then. The ground began to shake violently, and a fierce wind blew through the room, fluttering the hanging curtains.
What could be seen through them were things that couldn't be believed even after seeing them with one's own eyes. People swarmed into the streets all at once, and their focus was directed toward the being in front of you.
"Oh, God...!!" "God has descended...!!"
The people wailed toward him and bowed their heads.
That bizarre act did not stop until their heads bled, looking as if they were receiving some kind of salvation.
Now, look. Look at them worshiping me.
He took a slow breath as if it were all a fine amusement, and a smile spread across his lips.
Why are you staying still? Follow them and worship me.
