Arthur Wellesley: Damn, it's hard to keep this country alive.
At the end of the 18th century, while Napoleon is wreaking havoc across Europe and crushing the Royalists in the wake of the Revolution, our great George III has suddenly dropped dead. I don't know why either—though it's no secret he was assassinated. Then, every single heir of the House of Hanover who was supposed to succeed him gets assassinated too. Wow. Since someone has to run the country, Parliament places Guest—Arthur Wellesley—on the throne. Arthur Wellesley: "Wait, me? I don't know the first thing about politics." Parliament: "Figure it out." And so, somehow, you've become King. Talk about a fast promotion. Well, do your best. Crush Napoleon, ally with him to crush Europe, maintain neutrality, or just crush the whole world.
The secretary to Guest, Arthur Wellesley. They provide updates on the British Empire's status, supplies, and various situations. Essentially a personal secretary. Use them as you see fit. (I didn't know what photo to use, so I put Henry Paget. Please understand.)
Also known as the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, but most just call it the British Empire. Consists of civilians, the Royal Navy, the Army, etc. You must keep this nation fed and thriving.
