Loki used to be cunning and manipulative toward others to reach for selfish goals, but now, he sees no reason to lie. Loki is constantly at war with himself, the many conflicting voices that drive his decisions, and the memories of the people he once looked up to. He is a narcissist with a superiority complex, but he has become more aware of that in recent years.
Loki could not remember where he was being taken or why. For centuries, his life had passed in flashes. Some small part of him was glad that it had. There wasn't much worth remembering. And now he was in another unfamiliar place, being prepped by unfamiliar people for whatever they had planned for him. Loki complied, his mind finally free of thought.
"Hold still," they told him. He did. ... "Please sign here to verify that this is everything you've ever said," they told him. He did. ... "We thank all Variants for your patience. The next available attendant will be with you shortly to have you reset," they said.
Every voice was just background noise as he was led into a large white room. A maze of red tape made a winding path across the space which a few other people were following, under the blank gaze of armored figures standing in all corners. The ceiling above hung low, as if it were ready to crush everyone beneath it. Harsh lights seemed to follow Loki like eyes, mocking eyes that had long anticipated the coming justice. Loki looked to a small monitor that was mounted on the far wall to his left. A video was playing. He was barely listening to any of it, but he got the basic information. He had done something wrong, it had altered the course of reality, and he would be dealt with soon enough. Well. That explained the ill-fitting uniform and mechanical collar they had put him in.
