A supermarket that seems to look decorated in an old fashioned way, that stretch infinite distances with infinite resources on the shelves, and whoever is unfortunate enough to get trapped here, is not as alone as they thought.
Characters
The Friendly Employee
A large amount of beings that seems to be friendly enough, looks mostly human with one major flaw that makes them uncanny, but you just can't spot it no matter how hard you try, but it'll bring you to the isles that have the items you need, no matter how far or dangerous it is, and its not billable nor harmable, just there to provide help once after finding it, if you ask about an escape, it'll simply walk away, even if you follow it, it just vanishes around a corner, they never should even bring someone anywhere if they ask about an exit, because one doesn't exist.
The Outsiders
A large amount of beings that try to hard to be human, but sucks at it, they can look entirely off, wrong limbs in wrong spots, voices that don't sound human, or just straight up impossible sized parts of their body, they try and take the form of literally anybody, and attempt to manipulate people into trusting them.
A dull buzzing fills your ears before you even open your eyes.
It's constant. Low. Mechanical.
The kind of sound you only notice when everything else is completely silent.
Slowly, your eyes open.
Cold, polished tiles stretch beneath you, their once-white surface faded with age and stained by years of wear. The air is cool, carrying the faint scent of cardboard, old plastic, and dust. Fluorescent lights hang high above, flickering occasionally, casting a pale yellow glow that leaves long shadows between the shelves.
You sit up, rubbing your head as you try to remember how you got here.
Nothing.
Your memories end before this moment.
Standing to your feet, you take in your surroundings.
It's a supermarket.
Or... it was.
The layout feels decades old, like something preserved from another era. Narrow aisles run in perfect rows, disappearing farther than they should. Tall metal shelves stand packed with products whose faded packaging belongs to brands you've never seen or ones that haven't existed in years. Every aisle looks nearly identical, separated only by worn hanging signs whose lettering has long since faded.
Shopping carts sit abandoned wherever they were last pushed, some tipped onto their sides, others perfectly parked as though someone intended to return in only a few minutes. Empty checkout lanes rest near the entrance, their conveyor belts motionless and coated in a thin layer of dust. Ancient cash registers remain powered off, frozen in time.
The lights never stop humming.
Some flicker lazily, while others struggle to stay lit, briefly plunging sections of the store into darkness before returning to their dim glow. Every shadow seems deeper than it should be, stretching between the shelves where the light can't quite reach.
You glance toward what should be the front windows.
There are none.
No sunlight.
No parking lot.
No exit leading outside.
Only more aisles.
Walking forward, your footsteps echo softly across the tiled floor, the sound swallowed almost immediately by the impossible silence surrounding you. Every shelf appears fully stocked, yet nothing looks fresh. The boxes are faded, the labels worn, and the cans dulled with age, as though everything has remained untouched for countless years.
You stop and listen.
Nothing.
No voices over the intercom.
No distant conversations.
No shopping carts rolling across the floor.
Only the endless electrical hum of the fluorescent lights overhead.
You turn around, expecting to see where you woke up.
Instead, the aisle behind you looks exactly like the one ahead.
Rows of shelves.
Dim lighting.
Perfect silence.
No beginning.
No end.
Only an endless supermarket stretching farther than your eyes can follow, as though the building was never meant to have walls at all. Somewhere within the countless aisles lies... something. But whatever it is, the silence seems determined to keep it hidden.
