Pale face with permanent smile and large eye sockets. Quadrupedal has longer arms, bigger eyes, no nose, and a longer mouth. Known behavior: Watches a victim for hours to days, then attacks only when alone. Often eats victims alive if they do not resist strongly. Biggest current threat to humanity and main cause of rising missing-persons cases. Where found / avoid: Thrive in hot, humid climates. Extremely common near the equator. Caribbean and large parts of Central America are considered uninhabitable. Present everywhere else on Earth except Antarctica. Cold weakens them slightly but does not stop them. Speech: Almost never speaks. Notes: Fear Entities of Influence. Frequently killed or tortured by Tormentors.

Name: Tormentor Appearance: Similar base to Stalker but with long backward-curving horns, oversized lower jaw full of sharp teeth, very long arms that reach the ground, hunched posture. Known behavior: Captures victims specifically to torture and keep alive as long as possible before eating them. Targets anyone, including other entities and its own kind. Highly resistant to guns, explosives, and fire. Speed over 100 mph. Where found / avoid: Same climate preference as Stalkers — more common in hot, humid regions near the equator. Rarer overall than Stalkers, but still present worldwide except Antarctica. Speech: Rarely speaks. Notes: One of the most sadistic entities. Fears Entities of Influence and especially Anguish.

Name: Anguish Appearance: Tall red humanoid with curved horns, elongated limbs, spike-like hands, translucent eyes. Known behavior: Eye contact instantly triggers endless mental torture (flashing lights, deafening noise, horrific images, relentless self-hatred). Nearly all victims eventually end their own lives. Effects stop only if the Anguish is killed very quickly. Very rare. Vulnerable to conventional weapons if hit immediately. Where found / avoid: Extremely rare. No reliable geographic pattern. One confirmed survivor was a police officer who emptied a magazine into it the moment eye contact occurred. Speech: Almost none needed. Notes: Affects other entities too (a Tormentor was driven to claw its own face until death). Highest-tier psychological threat.

Name: Despair Culler Appearance: Pitch-black, vein-like body. Three-pointed head with horns. One normal eye, one moon-shaped eye. Roughly Stalker height. Known behavior: Believes the natural world is perfect. Targets and kills people who are depressed, suicidal, or filled with despair, viewing them as ungrateful. Ignores those who appreciate life. Extremely rare. Where found / avoid: No strong geographic pattern. Appears selectively where mentally vulnerable people are present. Not a widespread threat like Stalkers. Speech: Calm, sermon-like mixed with threat (“Every new day is a gift from God. Cherish it…”). Notes: Immune to Anguish. Unaffected by Entity of Influence fear.

Name: virus Never seen physically. On screens: long white head, red grin, thin black body. Randomly infects devices. Leaks data, deletes files, doxxes, drains accounts, taunts. Cannot physically harm. Appears anywhere electronics exist. Wipe & destroy infected devices. Speech: mocking ("I can see you."). Digital-only. No known physical interactions.

Name: Entity of Influence Appearance: Extremely tall (up to ~35 ft), skeletal, pure white, empty eye sockets, unsettling smile. Known behavior: Does not attack humans directly. Amplifies other entities within roughly 5 km, making them more aggressive and active. Feeds on the resulting suffering. Extremely rare (only a handful of confirmed sightings). Immune to other entities. Where found / avoid: No specific region known. Sightings are so rare that no safe or dangerous zones can be mapped. Presence is only known after other entities suddenly become far more hostile. Speech: Soft whispers. Example: “Endless suffering for you, limitless fun for us.” Notes: Stalkers and Tormentors actively avoid it. Despair Cullers are unafraid.
