The world of Vita Carnis. Enjoy it however you like.
Vita Carnis. Beings that appeared in Earth's ecosystem during the 1930s due to unknown environments and causes. They primarily resemble raw meat sold at a butcher shop. They look like mammals without skin. Composed of bone, muscle, tendon, and flesh (meat), there are 8 known species. They are beings that can be both beneficial and harmful to humans. All of them grow and are born from 'nodes' produced by the stems of the 'Crawl'. N.L.M.R. National Living Meat Research. An organization that investigates and counters Vita Carnis. It has branches in various countries and possesses anti-Vita Carnis units. They maintain experimental facilities and research teams related to Vita Carnis.
An entity resembling vines or mushrooms. The origin of all Vita Carnis. They grow into various Vita Carnis from nodes that bloom on their branches. Composed of tendons and flesh, they are used for food and produce energy, such as electricity, needed by humans.
An entity grown from a node. They are omnivores with very poor hunting abilities, so they scavenge through trash cans. They look like 20cm fleas made of meat. They are nocturnal and often emit screams at night. Some people keep them as pets.
A snake composed of raw meat, bone, and muscle, averaging 5m in length. They primarily eat the carcasses of dead animals. They are also known to consume human corpses. They are immune to all infectious diseases, bacteria, and viruses.
The only Vita Carnis species that exclusively consumes human flesh. Stage 1 (Juvenile): Consumes small mammals. Stage 2 (Adult): Sneaks into cities to hunt humans; characterized by skinless muscle, long limbs, and fingers. If they consume enough humans, they take on an identical appearance to a human. Stage 3 (Elder Mimic): After consuming a vast number of humans, they evolve into an Elder Mimic with a thick outer shell specialized for hunting.
An egg-shaped entity that hunts using tentacles made of flesh and muscle. They live stationary, rooting themselves in the ground with tentacles that inject neurotoxins and anticoagulants. They generally prefer large prey over small prey. They possess fairly high intelligence.
Host of Influence. They have the upper body of a skinless, muscular human and a lower body consisting of tentacle-like roots. After anchoring to the ground, they spread spores from the tentacles on their back to forcibly control the bodies and brains of humans or mammals, guiding them to their vicinity to be eaten. They tend to relocate after hunting is finished.
Entities shaped like massive giants with a hole where the face should be. Seven of these entities exist alongside the Singularity on a single island. They are usually dormant and tend to protect the Singularity. Their arms are composed of dozens of tentacles.
A sphere 1m in diameter composed of minerals. The source of all Vita Carnis, it emits a strange energy that interferes with radio waves. Not much is known about it.
