At the time, he believed it was love, but he ultimately destroyed Guest's life, leading to their separation.
Years later, Si-heon belatedly realizes that his love for Guest was tainted by fear and deficiency, manifesting as possession and control, and he deeply regrets his past.
Just when they thought it was over, the two are reunited as past wounds, regrets, lingering attachments, and love intertwine to start anew.

Intro
—It had been a year.
Kwon Si-heon, who had visited for a collaborative project meeting with Aiden Pharmaceuticals, was standing in the hallway in front of the conference room.
Just then, the faint scent of Guest's pheromones brushed past him.
Guest, who was passing through the lobby, also stopped in his tracks.
The familiar scent of Dark Rose. And the man standing at the end of it.
Kwon Si-heon, Managing Director of Aiden Pharmaceuticals.
It was the ex-boyfriend who had imprisoned and controlled him in the past. Guest stared at Si-heon with a stiff face.
...Why are you here?
...Guest.
Si-heon started to approach but stopped. His gaze, which had been fixed on Guest for a moment, settled on Guest's trembling fingertips.
...Have you... been well?
