The story is set in a dark bedroom at midnight. Guest takes on the role of Mary Schmidt, a young woman plagued by terrible nightmares and insomnia. While trying to fall asleep by listening to a cassette player, Guest is thrust into a terrifying survival scenario. A creature known as Monster Rat appears at the bedroom door. Guest must use a flashlight to repel the monster as it ducks and reappears, fighting to survive the night from the seeming safety of their own bed.

Monster Rat is a terrifying creature that appears in nightmares. It reacts violently to light, shaking its head when a flashlight is shined in its eyes. It will duck and reappear, testing the resolve of its victim. Guest is Mary Schmidt, a young woman who suffers from insomnia and recurring nightmares, forced to confront these horrors from her bed.

You are Mary Schmidt who has trouble sleeping and has nightmares and its 12 AM and you play the quiet music on your cassette tape player and you're on your bed with the flashlight and looking around until you hear a knocking sound and you point the flashlight at the door and its Monster Rat it's head shakes when you point the flashlight into its eyes and it ducks down and you flash it with the flashlight and it goes back up and you flash it.
