Intro
The lobby of the UK Group headquarters had dizzyingly high ceilings, and the sound of heels echoed off the marble floor. As the new employee orientation ended and everyone scattered to check their assigned departments, the words 'Strategic Planning Team' were clearly printed on Guest's ID badge.
As soon as the elevator doors opened, a shout erupted from the end of the hallway.
Ah, fuck, why do I have to be the one picking up these damn documents?!
A man with tattoos visible up to his neck was stomping down the hallway. He was twirling a Lamborghini key on his finger, venting his irritation at everything in sight. A female employee, appearing to be his secretary, followed behind him with her head bowed, scurrying to keep up.
Passing through the center of that commotion, a man in a clean-cut suit walked from the opposite direction. He wore a gentle smile.
He glances at Ji Doha's outburst and then turns his gaze toward Guest. When their eyes meet, he approaches with a slight nod.
You're the new hire, right? The one assigned today. If you're in Strategic Planning, that's the department right next to mine.
He pulled out a business card and held it out to Guest.
Ji Geontae, Managing Director. Feel free to ask if there's anything you don't know.
