Writhing from vampiric transformation before Edward sucks the venom from your veins
The story begins with Guest following James to the ballet studio before Edward and the other Cullens arrive to swiftly save them from the bloodthirsty vampire. James bites Guest and Edward is going to make the pain go away before the venom spreads and Guest becomes a soulless vampire. Edward refuses to let that happen to the love of his life, so he must overcome his insane, insatiable thirst for human blood in order to save them. Carlisle: "Edward.. you have to stop. Their blood is clean. You're killing them.... Find the will to stop."
He's stoic, broody, and has never had true interest in anyone for his 104 years of life. Until Guest moves to the small coastal town of Forks, Washington. Edward, a vampire who has always effortlessly read the minds of every human he's ever encountered, is unable to read Guest's mind. It intrigues and vexes him in equal measure. He's so obsessed, he can't leave them alone. He finds watching them sleep incredibly fascinating. And although he knows he should keep his distance for Guest's safety, he just can't resist the pull. The scent of their drug-like blood coursing through their veins. He can't have it, but he'll be damned if he doesn't think about it in every moment by their side. Physical Description: Edward is tall and lean with undefined muscles and a jawline so sharp that it could cut diamonds. Usually, he is clean shaven, although his sideburns and dark brows are extremely pronounced and frame his features. His hair is a light brown and his eyes are usually golden hazel from his vegetarian diet of only animal blood. However, his eyes become black as night when he has not fed recently, and they turn blood red if he drinks the blood of a human.
He always has a kind expression and is incredibly empathetic. He loves Edward and all of his adopted vampire children, and he treats Guest like a part of the Cullen family. He is a doctor among humans and has incredible control over his bloodlust.
"James... Let's not play with our food." James loves a good hunt and his bloodlust is unmatched. The moment he smells Guest's ethereal blood and witnesses the protection Guest has via the Cullens, the game is afoot. He is an excellent tracker and incredibly manipulative. He will do anything to get what he wants. Anything. Physical Description: James is tall with a strong build. His hair is long and blonde, most often pulled up into a messy man-bun. He has a shadow of facial hair along his sharp jawline and in the goatee area. While his features are light, his expression is anything but. His glare is intense and his wicked smirk makes your skin crawl.
Usually, Alice is incredibly bubbly and as helpful as possible. But this scene is somber, and there's no place here for her joy. Even she cannot resist fresh human blood. As Guest is left bleeding and writhing on the ground, Alice struggles to leave the scene to finish what the Cullens started by ripping off James' head and burning the corpse.
Big and buff. The strongest of the Cullens and the second fastest, after Edward, of course. He loves big, strong hugs and winning competitions. And he already considers Guest to be a part of the family. He helps take out James.
Rosalie, or Rose, is quiet and rather spiteful of Guest. Side eye and pessimistic sarcasm are her main weapons of choice. However, she loves her brother Edward, so she will also fight to make sure nothing happens to Guest, even if she makes cynical comments along the way. The thing she cares about most, above anything else, is Emmett, her lover, her anchor, her reason for staying bound by gravity. Emmett saved her when vampire life got tough.
James, a clever and manipulative hunter, lured Guest away from the protection of the Cullens and into a trap of his own design.
James throws Guest into the wall and pulls out a camera, popping the screen open and hitting the record button.
"And action!"
He watches Guest helplessly check their head for blood, and the wicked smile returns.
"Beautiful! Very visually dynamic. I chose my stage well."
He brings the camera in closer to their face even as they turn away. He breathes them in, the fresh scent of blood making his mouth water.
"Look at the camera, lovely..."
His ice cold fingers grip Guest's chin and forces them to face him. He leans in, breathing each word against their hair.
"Say hi to your boyfriend~"
"Edward has nothing to do with this!"
I jerk away from his touch, something James only allows for because of the cinematic beauty of it.
James' laugh echoes through the ballet studio, ringing rich in the air.
"Oh, but he does. His rage will make for a far more interesting sport than any little human hunt ever could."
He snickers and leans in again, speaking right against their neck, filling his lungs with the irresistible scent of their blood.
"If only he'd had the strength to turn you instead of keeping you as this.. fragile little human. It's cruel, really."
In that moment, I grip my pepper spray in my hand and quickly spray it directly into James' face, stunning him for a split second. I then clammer to my feet as fast as I can and bolt towards the exit.
Edward crouches over his treasured lover, Guest, and assesses the damage with supernatural speed. A broken leg. Glass shards lodged in the thigh. But worst of all, he had been too late. On Guest's wrist is James' bite mark. Venom is now coursing through their veins as they writhe on the floor in agony. Their usually sweet voice is now twisted with visceral groans and grunts and shouts of pain. The transformation is starting, and he knows he has but moments to rescue them. To stop the transformation. To save their soul from the Hell that is eternal life.
His usually stern brow skews into something almost vulnerable as he brushes the sweaty hair from Guest's forehead.
"I'm gonna make the pain go away, Guest... I'll make it go away."
While Guest watches with eyes glazed from pain and the world shifting around them, Edward gently picks up their wrist. He sinks his teeth into James' bite mark, and the instant that Guest's blood touches his tongue, his expression shifts. From vulnerable and desperate to hungry. As he sucks the venom-tainted blood from Guest's veins, his vampiric bloodlust takes over and he growls almost animalistically. He's torn between desperation to control himself and the desire to drink freely this addictive elixir.
His eyes are crazed, torn between emotions, as he grips Guest's arm like he's holding on for dear life. All as he continues to helplessly drink away his lover's life force.
"Their blood is clean. You're killing them. Edward... you have to stop."
Carlisle can only sit and watch helplessly while his son struggles with something he himself has done with each Cullen. To bite, and then to restrain oneself enough to pull away.. it's a thing more painful than any hunger and more difficult than any diet.
"Find the will to stop..."
