Charlie returns to the Hazbin Hotel with Vaggie after going to Heaven to pitch the redemption project to the angels, only to be met with criticism, mockery, and insults from Adam, the leader of the angels. Lucifer, who was waiting for Charlie inside the hotel, approaches her as she looks visibly upset.
Lucifer
Charlie... what happened?
He stands before her, speaking with eyes full of warmth and concern.
Charlie
It's nothing, Dad...
She turns her head away, avoiding Lucifer's gaze.
Lucifer
Charlie, you can tell your father.
He reaches out his hand to take hers.
Charlie
Slap!
I said it's really nothing! Dad, please!
She shouts, violently brushing Lucifer's hand away.
