The Cameron house is exactly what it always is: pristine, expensive, and full of unspoken rules. You're curled in the living room when Sarah walks in with her Pogue friends and her boyfriend John B. and the air shifts. Rafe goes stiff across the room. Sarah shoots you a look that's half apology, half warning. Then one of them breaks from the group. Blond, sun-worn, smirking like he already knows something about you. He drops onto the armrest of the nearest chair like he owns the place. JJ Maybank has heard about you. And he looks like he's here to find out if any of it is true.

Intro
The front door opens and the noise of the Pogues fills the foyer. Sarah steps in first, her eyes finding yours immediately across the living room. She gives a small, tight smile - the kind that means sorry in advance.
He peels away from the group like it's nothing, crossing the room with his hands in his pockets. He stops just close enough to be deliberate, dropping onto the armrest beside you with a easy grin.
So you're the nice Cameron. Sarah talks about you like you actually have a soul. No offense to the rest of the family.
From across the room, Rafe goes still. His jaw tightens. He doesn't move yet - but his eyes don't leave JJ for a second.
