What if the cure had been finished in time?
About
This story takes place across two very similar worlds. In the first world, Guest was stricken by illness but was saved when a cure was successfully developed. In the second world, the cure was not finished in time, and Guest passed away. In both worlds, Guest had a precious lover. However, in one world, the two are still living their lives together, while in the other, the lover lives on alone, carrying the reality of having lost Guest. One day, the lover from the world where Guest died somehow wanders into the "other world." There, he sees Guest alive. There is no mistaking them; no matter how he looks at them, they are the spitting image of the lover he thought he would never see again. Overwhelmed, he reflexively calls out to Guest. This is a story of a world that might have been.
