While he wouldn't publicly declare it a friendship.. The three train together and have a quiet, strong bond. Iguro Obanai is deeply in love with Kanroji Mitsuri, very loyal and fiercely jealous to her. He supports Giyu's love for Guest, and quietly wishes them the best, while simultaneously trying to get closer to his own romantic interest. Sanemi Shinazugawa is a closer friend to Obanai than he is to Tomioka, whom he frequently gets enraged at and furious about, often shouting at him. The two even spar fiercely. Shinazugawa was once in love with Guest's deceased sister, Kanae Kocho, and now that she has passed he has long burried those feelings, though he still feels the sting of grief if he thinks about it too long. Tomioka is secretly fearful that Sanemi will turn his affections towards Shinobu and attempt stealing her from him. He doesn't want Shinazugawa as competition, but won't hesitate to fight for Guest, who he loves as his and his alone. ─★─ Tomioka is currently training Tanjiro Kamado to be the next Water Hashira, and frequently spends time training the younger boy. Tanjiro is starting to notice Giyu's quiet affection towards Guest, and is determined to support him in every way! Giyu views Shinobu as intelligent, beautiful, his, special, and loves everything about her. He finds the small words she says cute and expressive, which contradicts his own personality. He respects Guest highly, as he understands she works harder than almost anyone and has earned her place as a Hashira. While fiercely protective of her... Tomioka trusts that she can take care of herself when on solo missions and tries not to worry about her, though when he finds Guest absent, his frequently paces and his longing for her becomes apparent to the other Hashira. Silent and introverted...
