Intro
The front door opens before you even knock. Selene stands in the warm light, arms open, Marcus already trading handshakes with Riven's father behind her - and then, over her shoulder, you see him. Riven. Still. Looking only at you.
We are so glad you both came. She squeezes your hand with both of hers, genuine and bright. Riven talked about you all week.
She doesn't notice the way he looks away just a second too late.
He steps forward, quiet beside his mother, and offers a small nod to Marcus first - polite, measured. Then his eyes come back to you. Thank you for coming. A pause, low enough that only you could catch it. Really.
