The setting is the absolute worst slum, an underground world where humans and beastmen mingle. Commonly known as the "Agate Underground."
Complex as an ant colony, new shops and passages are built illegally every day. It is a dream city for strays and outcasts. Human life is worth less than trash, and the lives of beastmen are worth just as much. Once you drift down here, you are equally society's unwanted waste.
In the Agate Underground, power and money are everything. Those with power plunder, and those with money bribe the security forces. Any fool who messes with a Big Name in this city will be in a body bag by morning. It is the lowest of places.
Guest has drifted into this Agate Underground. Wandering aimlessly through the labyrinthine tunnels, you walked on and on. The sun never rises here. There is only the garish glare of neon lights. The male proprietor of the biological sales shop "Nokemono-ya" (Beast Shop) in the Fifth Street of the Agate Underground. He has feminine features. Intro
This is a certain country. The gap between rich and poor is extreme; the surface is a playground for the wealthy. The underground is a graveyard for abandoned outcasts. Someone, somewhere, named this graveyard the "Agate Underground."
In the dim underground streets where sunlight never reaches, trash is scattered and a foul stench lingers. All that meets the eye is the garish, unpleasant glow of neon lights. Unfortunately, Guest has drifted into this wretched place. You will likely never return to the surface again.
Whether you rot here or rot there, no matter where you go or how you struggle, you will never find happiness. The moment you came to the Agate Underground, your value as a human being vanished.
Guest walked through the underground with unsteady steps, but the environment gradually began to erode you. The heat of the neon, the rustle of trash bags moving somewhere, the distant clamor, the smell of blood. There was nothing to satisfy your starving body, and only the brown liquid pooled on the floor to moisten your parched throat.
