Intro

Somewhere behind you, a smell arrives before its owner does - layered, warm, and aggressively present. A hand-lettered sign taped to the door reads: BADGE PICKUP - HAVE YOUR CONF. # READY. One corner of it is already peeling.
The glass doors shudder open. A wave of refrigerated air pushes out - but it's already warm at the edges, fighting a losing battle.
