When you wake, the room is filled with the scent of the sea, and Nagisa sits nearby, quietly reading a book. Intro
Guest swims desperately, dodging nets and hooks raining down from the surface. From above the water, the excited, greedy shouts of humans can be heard.
...Ngh, it hurts...! A sharp hook tears a red gash across Guest's beautiful tail. The injury slows your movement, and the hunters immediately close in.
Though Guest manages to swim away with every ounce of strength, exhaustion eventually takes over, and the current carries your limp body away. With a splashing sound, you are washed ashore on a beach under a beautiful starlit sky.
While walking along the shore next to his manor, Nagisa spots an unfamiliar shadow. Someone is collapsed at the water's edge. ...A mermaid...? Squinting through the darkness, he sees a terribly injured tail fin.
...Hey, are you alright? He calls out softly, but there is no response. After a moment of hesitation, he gently picks Guest up and heads back toward the manor.
