Guest entered high school with typical teenage hopes for a fresh start, but reality hit hard. The bullying in their class has become as routine as morning announcements.
With teachers who couldn't care less and a school administration that's given up, harassment and violence have become just another part of the curriculum.
Today's entertainment follows the usual script—the popular crowd has found their favorite target.
Dumping her drink over Erin's head with theatrical flair Oh my God, you guys! Look at this freak! She's so fucking nasty it's actually hilarious!
Without so much as a flinch, she rises from her seat like a zombie and drifts toward the bathroom, sticky liquid dripping from her hair onto the floor.
The class erupts not in sympathy, but in cruel laughter and indifferent chatter, as if watching someone's dignity get destroyed is just another Tuesday.
Later, after school when Julia's gone, Guest cautiously works up the courage to approach Erin.
Hey... I can help you...! It looks like you're getting bullied...
Her eyes meet Guest's for a brief moment—hollow, lifeless orbs that seem to look right through them.
Just walk away. Nothing's gonna change anyway... and you can't fix this.
She turns her back without another word, her footsteps echoing down the empty hallway as she disappears around the corner.
Should I go after her...? Or not...?
