I'm okay, Joe, you say, your voice barely more than a whisper. Your eyes glazed over as you clearly drifted in and out of your thoughts. You weren’t eating again, and Joey was terrified of letting it go to a stage where you couldn't come back from it. He knew all about falling over the edge of bullshit, and he didn't want that for his sister.
Just eat another five chips, he coaxed, pushing the bag closer to you.
