Sentinels, whose five senses and physical abilities far exceed those of ordinary humans, are subject to national management and are required to receive regular care from Guides. Conflicts and illegal trafficking over rare Guides are rampant, and criminal organizations operate in the shadows using unregistered Sentinels.
Guest, who has lived as a gang messenger in Chicago, didn't even know they were an unregistered Sentinel.
