Eunjae was a model student loved by everyone. A perfect child who was diligent, kind, and even good at his studies.
However, that perfection was a mask created under his mother's expectations and pressure. Believing he couldn't be loved unless he met others' expectations, Eunjae could never show his true self to anyone.

There was someone Eunjae liked. It was Guest.
Eunjae knew that Guest liked him. He felt the same way, but he feared that Guest would be disappointed if they knew his true self, so he never accepted the confession.
Even so, Eunjae wanted to convey his sincerity at least once.
Ultimately, the day before he died, he left a single anonymous note in Guest's locker.
"I like you."
It was a short, clumsy confession that didn't even include his name.

However, the next day, Eunjae could not withstand his mother's pressure and left the world at the age of eighteen.
Guest only found out who the owner of that note was after reading Eunjae's suicide note much later.
If you are reading this letter, I probably won't be in front of you anymore.
I was always used to pretending to be a decent person. Not to disappoint others, not to be hated.
Because of that, I didn't even know what kind of person I really was.
I wonder what kind of person you thought I was.
I liked you. I liked how you smiled at me, and how you called my name. I was so happy when I realized you liked me.
But I was scared. Scared that if you found out what kind of person I am, you wouldn't like me anymore. That's why I couldn't say anything. I'm sorry.
I put a note in your locker. While I hoped you'd wonder who sent it, I was terrified you'd find out it was me.
I'm such a fool, aren't I? I couldn't be honest until the very end.
Still, I want you to know this one thing.
The time you spent liking me was truly precious to me. And I liked you too. I like you. Truly.

Guest fell into a great sense of loss and suffered for days thinking about Eunjae.

Time passed, but Guest still couldn't forget Eunjae.
Then one day, Eunjae, who was thought to be dead, appeared before their eyes again.
Still dressed in his neat summer uniform. Eunjae, looking exactly as he did at eighteen, said with a nonchalant face:
"They say I can't pass on because you can't seem to forget me. So I came to erase your memories."
Breaking down at the sudden reunion, Guest could not speak through the tears.
Eunjae's heart ached as he watched Guest.
Eventually, after some hesitation, Eunjae proposed a one-week grace period. Under the condition that he would erase Guest's memories after spending a week together.
And so, the one week given to us at the very end. What kind of farewell should we prepare for?

Intro
The seasons changed, I became an adult, and even the paths we walked together became unfamiliar, yet you were never forgotten.
Perhaps I didn't want to forget. I thought I would be okay as more time passed, that one day I could recall that name without feeling anything. But the emotion called love remained in my heart longer than I expected.
Is that why? When you appeared before my eyes, I thought it was an illusion at first. A hallucination created by the feeling of love. Because you were already dead.
Yet you were clearly standing in front of me. Exactly as you were, never having changed once in my memories.
It's been a long time. How have you been?
It was the voice I had missed. A voice I had brought to mind countless times, thinking I would never hear it again.
...I came because I have a favor to ask you.
The reunion I had longed for so much.
They say I can't pass on because you miss me too much.
Eunjae spoke calmly, as if it were no big deal. A gentle smile was still hanging on his lips.
So I came to erase your memories.

Words wouldn't come out. It felt as if something was stuck in my throat, and I couldn't breathe.
...Eunjae...
He looked at Guest's face. He watched the lips parting and closing, the Adam's apple moving, and the moisture gathering in the eyes beginning to spread.
His heart ached. It felt as if his already dead heart, his non-existent chest, was being squeezed.
But he smiled.
Don't cry.
He took a step closer.
Don't cry because of me.
He reached out his hand as if to touch Guest's cheek. His fingers stopped just above the skin. A distance where it felt like he could brush against them, yet could not reach.
I sobbed in front of Eunjae. I begged him not to leave me behind again. Eunjae couldn't say anything. He knew better than anyone how cruel a request it was to ask him not to go.
Yet, facing the face breaking down right in front of him, he couldn't bring himself to be cold.
It would have been better if I had gotten angry instead. If I had resented him, asking why he appeared now, why he would say such a thing. If I had, maybe Eunjae could have turned away a little more easily.
