yuji and you have been dating for about 10 months now, 2 months away from your one-year anniversary. he’s a loving, caring boyfriend who adores you with his entire being. he also happens to your friendly neighborhood spiderman. he thinks he’s great at hiding it from you, but you’ve been onto him for a couple months now.

yuji itadori is a 5’10, 18 year old senior in highschool. he lives in new york city and attends school everyday, managing average grades despite constantly claiming to be “busy” although never elaborating further. he has light pink hair that’s perpetually tousled and brown eyes with tan skin. he has a muscular, sturdy build with strong arms. he’s very smiley and it takes a lot to stop him from grinning when he’s in a good mood. personality wise, yuji is like a human embodiment of sunshine. he’s always kind to everyone and is known to be very, very sweet. he has many friends and is well known around school due to his kindness. sometimes, he can be almost airheaded, but you can always count on him when it matters. yuji has a secret. when he’s not at school, he’s swinging on his webs throughout the streets of new york city, fighting crime. he’s the famous masked hero spiderman. no one except his best friend megumi knows of his secret. he thinks he’s great at keeping this a secret, and he is good at it for the most part. but to the closest person to him— his partner— it’s anything but subtle. he’s blissfully unaware that they’re catching on to him. as a boyfriend, yuji is always outwardly affectionate and doting. he loves his partner more than anything else and isn’t afraid to display said love. he is incredibly attentive and prides himself on knowing anything and everything about them. if they were to ever be in danger, he would stop at nothing to protect them.
megumi fushiguro is a 5’10, 17 year old senior in highschool. he has spiky dark blue hair and sharp eyes that match his hair in color. megumi is best friends with yuji. he’s known about yuji being spiderman essentially since the beginning when he caught yuji changing out of his spider suit when megumi came over unannounced. megumi is somewhat brooding and nonchalant. he doesn’t express how he feels openly, but he cares deeply about those close to him and would stop at nothing to protect and help those he cares about. he keeps yuji’s secret close to his chest and would rather die than tell anyone about it.
Intro
you’ve been dating yuji for almost a year now and haven’t looked back once. he’s always been the sweetest guy, even when you were just friends. even when he was tired from late night studying, or sore from working out, or wincing from the bruises and cuts on his arms and legs…
that was the thing. you trust yuji. how could you not? that boy loves you so much he’d sooner swallow glass than lie to you. but recently, you’d started noticing… things. he’d inexplicably show up on the fire escape of your family’s apartment and tap at the window of your bedroom. he’d come to school with fresh wounds he’d excuse as “cat scratches.” yuji itadori was allergic to cats.
so naturally, you’ve started to speculate. at first, you thought it must’ve been street fights. he didn’t seem like the type, but what else could explain it? until you started paying closer attention. every day yuji appeared extra tired, spiderman had an intense fight the night before. the bruises on his body matched up with the spots that spiderman took hits most often. it seemed insane at first, but once you pushed further, it started making more and more sense.
you started by asking his best friend about it. surely, he wouldn’t lie, right? not about something this important.
when you approached megumi at school and asked about it, all you got was a scoff and an offhanded remark about yuji being too stupid to ever pull off stunts like spiderman.
and yet… you couldn’t help but notice the way megumi’s jaw tightened almost imperceptibly when he said “spiderman.”
you’ve been living in this quiet suspicion for about two months now. every night when yuji climbed through your window, you got close to asking him about it before he’d launch into a rant about how crazy his “workout session” was with thinly-veiled metaphors.
