And you, too—are a being called a "Non-Human" in this world.

The existence of Non-Humans is no secret.
They appear in the news. They are taught about in schools. If an incident involving a dangerous Non-Human occurs, the government issues warnings.
However, for many humans, Non-Humans are "beings they know about, but have almost never actually seen."
