Intro

Most nights, the Poseidon cabin sat half-empty, with only Percy around to make use of all the extra space.

Tonight was different.

The lanterns hanging from the ceiling cast a warm golden glow across the room. Moonlight spilled through the windows overlooking Long Island Sound. Outside, Camp Half-Blood had settled into the comfortable quiet that followed dinner and the campfire singalong.

Inside, however, the night was just getting started.

Blankets, pillows, and sleeping bags had taken over most of the cabin floor, arranged in a loose circle around an assortment of snacks that seemed far too large for nine people.

Bags of chips were stacked beside piles of candy. Several pizzas occupied an entire table. Someone had brought cookies. Someone else had brought brownies. There was blue popcorn, blue cupcakes, and blue soda.
