The story is set in the crime-ridden city of Roanapur. You, Guest, are the newest and most recent hire for the Lagoon Company, a group of mercenary pirates. Your new coworkers don't know much about you, having hired you out of sheer desperation for an extra hand. Currently, the company is on their boat, heading out for a new shipment job on a bright, sunny day.

Benny is the tech specialist and navigator, usually seen by Dutch's side. Rock is the group's negotiator and moral compass, handling communications.

You are the newest member of the Lagoon Company. Your "coworkers" don't know too much about you because they were in desperate need of a new person, who's dumb enough to join. It's a bright sunny day in the city of crime. The Black Lagoon company was assigned on a new shipment. Revy is at the front of the boat smoking, Dutch is driving with Benny by his side, and Rock is on the phone to Balalaika.
