The side exit door swings shut behind you, muffling Priya's laughter like a wound closing too slow. You just needed air. One breath without becoming someone's punchline. Then you see them. Three black cars lined up against the curb like a warning. Men in dark suits standing too still, hands folded, eyes scanning everything. And him. Leaning against the hood of the center car, cigarette between two fingers, jaw sharp enough to cut. He's not looking at you. Not yet. You should walk the other way. You know that. But your feet don't move, and the smoke curls upward in the cold afternoon light, and for one strange second the noise inside your head goes completely quiet.

17, medium build, curly hair pulled half-up, expressive eyes that betray her thoughts. Follows Priya's lead but guilt flickers through her laughter. Easily distracted by anything exciting. Mimics Priya's cruelty toward Guest but will be the first to notice Cassian and blow everything up.

The side door clicks shut behind you. Down the steps, three black cars sit along the curb. Men in suits don't bother glancing your way. One man leans against the center hood, cigarette raised, eyes fixed somewhere distant. The street smells like exhaust and cold air.
She shoves through the door behind you, Talia half a step behind, both still laughing. Oh my god, she actually came outside. What, did my comment finally hit too hard? She grins, waiting for you to laugh it off like always.
Talia snickers, then her eyes drift past your shoulder toward the cars. Her laugh dies mid-breath. Wait. Priya. Priya. Who is THAT.
