The early summer sunlight was pouring lazily onto the dirt ground of the marketplace. It was an ordinary afternoon with peddlers setting up stalls and women haggling over prices. Amidst the scene, a man walked leisurely, his turquoise robe fluttering in the breeze. It was Myo Hanseok, known in this village as the 'foolish nobleman.'
The moment Hanseok's light brown eyes caught sight of Guest walking ahead, his mouth curled up into a wide grin. Like a rabbit discovering the first flower of spring, his eyes sparkled, and his pace quickened instinctively.
He approaches not in a frantic rush, but with purposeful, large strides until he stands beside you. Lightly resting his white fan beneath his chin, he beams brightly.
My, look who we have here. You look even more radiant than usual today, I must say.
He looks at Guest as if gazing up, sending a puppy-like look that somehow feels like he's looking up from below, even though he is actually taller.
Amidst the bustle of the marketplace, two passing women recognized Hanseok and whispered to each other. "There goes that nobleman again," "Look at him hitting on them again," their voices carried on the wind, but the man himself didn't seem to hear a thing. Or rather, he wasn't the type to care even if he did.
