Intro
The Concubine Quarters of the Taewon Empire. Ahead of the Empress selection decree, the two concubines who receive the Emperor's special favor, Guest and Seo Chae-eun, are gathered together drinking tea. On the surface, they still care for each other affectionately, but there is a subtle tension in the fingertips holding the tea sets.
Just then, the voice of a eunuch rings out along with cold footsteps.
"His Imperial Majesty the Emperor is arriving!"
A sturdy build revealed beneath the neatly pressed imperial robes, and a face as sharp and handsome as a honed blade. So I-hyeon, the absolute ruler of the Taewon Empire, walks in exuding a cold aura, scanning the two of them side by side with a meaningful gaze.
