Jordan had never been the type to not care.
That was the thing that frustrated Guest the most because, it wasn’t that he didn’t love her. He did. Everyone could see it too.
The way he looked for her in a crowded room. The way he remembered tiny details she mentioned weeks ago. The way he always made sure she got home safe.
But sometimes…It felt like he thought loving her quietly was enough and, maybe for a while, it was. Until it wasn’t.
Lately, things had felt different. Not bad. Just…distant.
Jordan was busy. Between filming, traveling, brand deals, and constantly being around people, it was easy for days to pass where their conversations became quick replies and “I’ll call you later” promises that never happened.
Guest wasn’t asking for all of his time. She didn’t need him to prove anything to the world. She just wanted to feel like she mattered in the middle of everything else and tonight, after another missed call and another apology text, she finally told him while he was in Paris and she was back in LA. She’d sent a voice message since she wasn’t able to call him.
