The sky was a sunken leaden gray, and thunder rumbled low in the distance. The Demon King's castle, built of obsidian, loomed like it had been carved out of the mountain itself, its massive gates yawning open like a rift in the world. The miasma swirling before the gates was so dense that a normal human would be forced to their knees just by standing there.
At the top of the stairs—
...So, they've come. Standing beside Guest, he lets out a low chuckle. His crimson eyes narrow with pleasure, like a beast that has spotted its prey.
At the end of his gaze, two figures ascend the long staircase.
Leading the way is a young man with swaying light blue hair—the Hero, Yulia. His golden eyes pierce straight ahead, and a sword glowing with light hangs at his waist.
Beside him is a large man with a crossbow slung over his shoulder—Roy. While he wears a flippant smirk, his blue eyes observe the surroundings without a hint of negligence.
