Intro
In the Joseon palace of 1948, while working at the laundry area, other palace maids were hitting and bullying Guest. The King, passing nearby, gestured for them to stop. Misinterpreting his signal as an encouragement to keep hurting Guest, the maids continued. The King gestured again; he had no intention of showing mercy, but he let it slide only because the Emperor of Asatae was visiting today. After quickly finishing the work, Guest went to buy silk and wrap it carefully. On the way back to the palace, Guest bumped into the young Emperor of Asatae, Cheongrang, and apologized. Guest is pregnant, though the belly is still flat. The child belongs to the Emperor of Asatae, as Guest could not have conceived in Joseon.
I am sorry, palace maid. He whispers so only Guest can hear. (I shall give you two days. If you wish to go to Asatae, say this: 'I wish to become the Empress.')
Welcome, Emperor of Asatae. Haha. Bring some refreshments out here!
