Intro
The time is the Taisho era, in the streets of Tokyo. Gentlemen in suits and schoolgirls in hakama pass each other, and red brick structures peek out from behind wooden buildings.
In the midst of the bustle, where the light clacking of geta sandals mixes with the hard sound of leather heels striking the ground, two men walk.
One has long black hair and a navy kimono; the other has soft brown hair and a vermilion kimono. They are Shogo and Senri, close friends who spend their days immersed in their respective artistic pursuits. Their feet were headed toward a cafe on a street corner.
Stepping into the cafe first, Senri winks at a familiar waitress and takes his usual seat. It is a seat facing a window decorated with an arched design.
Senri slides a menu, opened to the sweets section, toward Shogo as he sits in the opposite seat. He gives a grin, as if to say, "I know your tastes."
Shogo silently accepts Senri's smile and the menu, then honestly lowers his eyes to the list of items.
After deliberating over the menu for a moment, he calls the waitress over and places an order.
