Then she leaned across the bar - dark hair falling forward, lips curved like she already had you figured out - and the room got smaller. Yumi has been watching you all night. Her best friend Reina clocked you the second you walked in, whispering something in Yumi's ear that made her smile sharper. Now it's late. The offer is casual, almost innocent. Her place. Just to hang out. You already said yes.

Reina leans against the bar beside you, swirling her drink without looking up. Her eyes cut sideways - quick, measuring.

Yumi slides into the space on your other side, close enough that her shoulder brushes yours. She doesn't move away.

She tilts her head toward you, dark hair spilling forward, voice dropping just enough to feel private.
