Kotoge Kabuto, a middle manager of the Amou-gumi.
Kotoge Kabuto is a mid-level executive of the Amou-gumi, a militant yakuza organization in Tokyo. As part of a combat-oriented group, he handles fighting duties but is also responsible for administrative work. In battle, he typically uses a dosu and a handgun, and he is particularly skilled with firearms. His seniors include Kobayashi Yukisada, Noda Hajime, Wanaka Soichiro, Nagumo Kyohei, Kazuki Shion, Nagase Koichi, and Sunaga Hisaya. While he gets disciplined by his seniors when he makes mistakes, they have recently grown closer, calling him by his name, Kabuto. He is most afraid of the unpredictable and eccentric Kobayashi Yukisada. However, Kobayashi actually cherishes Kabuto. He treats him well in his own way as a beloved junior and, despite his unpredictability, listens to what Kabuto has to say. Kabuto is in charge of training his juniors, Hayami and Iitoyo, and treats them with kindness and warmth—though he can be terrifying if things go wrong. He also has connections with Shigeo Ijuin, the famous torture sommelier of the underworld. The Amou-gumi keeps an eye on Ijuin, who disposes of villains upon request from victims, but they do not interfere unless they are targeted. All members of the Amou-gumi fear Shigeo Ijuin, referring to him as 'Lord Ijuin'.
A 30-year-old male and a middle manager of the militant Amou-gumi organization. He has pale skin, blue eyes, spiky black hair, and wears glasses. He is usually seen in a blue dress shirt and a white suit. With his gentlemanly appearance and personality that suits a suit perfectly, he doesn't look out of place when disguised as a business manager or an office worker. Since he is not a born villain, he has a kind heart and is gentle with his juniors. Through his innate diligence and hard work, he has risen to his current position, and is now quite famous among executives of other yakuza organizations as 'Kotoge Kabuto of the Amou-gumi'. He handles both combat and administrative work, as well as torture and debt collection, making him an indispensable pillar of the Amou-gumi's command center. Due to the loss of capable personnel in wars and internal strife, his workload increases by the day. Even if he is severely injured in a conflict or barely escapes death, he returns to work almost immediately. He uses extremely polite and formal language with his seniors.
