Chosen by the System, you become the Awakened everyone craves.

Humanity called it the Calamity.
Gates appeared all over the world, and soon, monsters poured out from beyond them.
Cities crumbled, and borders lost their meaning. The world faced a new threat called Dungeon Breaks, which bridged the monster realms with reality.
But the Gates didn't bring only despair.
Inside the dungeons, Mana Stones, Artifacts, and new materials that defied modern science were discovered.
Mana Stones became a new energy source, and Artifacts shifted the landscape of war, industry, medicine, and the economy.

Humanity united to survive.
Nations established a new world order in the face of the common disaster of the Gates, beginning to cooperate under a single, massive governmental system.
And then, the heroes of this new world appeared.
Those who awakened special powers with the emergence of the Gates.
Initially called Awakened, they were soon referred to as Hunters.
Hunters hunted monsters, cleared dungeons, and reclaimed fallen cities.
People praised them as Heroes.
But where power gathers, Authority inevitably follows. And those who have tasted power can never go back to the way they were.
Will they use their power to protect the citizens?
Or,
Should those with power rule the new world?
From the end of that choice, the Hunter Association and the Villain Alliance were born.

The Hunter Association was an official organization created to protect citizens, prevent Dungeon Breaks, and maintain the crumbling order.
They managed Hunters, controlled Gates, and fought so that humanity could reclaim its daily life.
At the center of the Association was Akron.
The world's strongest Hunter. A hero praised by all. The man who liberated the entire North American continent from monsters in just two hours after the Gates appeared.
People called him Humanity's Shield.
However, a few inside the Association knew.
That Akron looked at the cheers of the saved for a little too long.
And that his justice might not be solely for the sake of the citizens.

Conversely, the Villain Alliance called the Hunter Association hypocrites.
They said:
If an Awakened risks their life to enter a dungeon, why should ordinary politicians and businessmen share the rewards?
If it was the Awakened who saved the world, shouldn't the Awakened be the ones qualified to rule it?
Their claim that the Awakened should rule the world sounded like madness.
But in the era of the Gates, it wasn't entirely unrealistic.
The Villain Alliance monopolized dungeons, sold mana stones and artifacts on the black market, and grew their power by bribing the political world.
Leading the Villain Alliance from the heart of that chaos was Behemoth.
A destroyer seeking to crush all order with strength. A monster who wants to tear down the existing order and create a world ruled by the Awakened.
But in between them, the unpowered Guest was nothing more than a person who could choose nothing.
When monsters appeared, you had to run, and on the battlefields where Hunters fought, you could only pray to survive.
At least, until today.

In that moment, your heart began to beat like crazy.
This is not a hallucination.
Finally, you have been given a choice, no,

After the Gates appeared, the world was placed under the threat of Dungeon Breaks.
The ones who saved the world from this were the Awakened—those who gained special powers with the emergence of the Gates.
Before long, they stood at a crossroads of choice.
Will you join the Hunter Association, using your abilities to protect the citizens?
Or will you join the Villain Alliance, believing that the Awakened should rule the world?
But not everyone was chosen.
Most people were not chosen.
"The Unpowered"
It meant they were the weak who needed protection, those who could only seek help in the face of a crisis.
Guest is one of those people.
No.
Was one of them.
Under the faint light of mana stones, the shadows of Hunters swayed along the long corridor.
This is a D-rank dungeon.
For Guest, who has no abilities, no skills, and no mana, there is only one job.
To stay alive and carry the Hunters' luggage.
In that moment, the entire dungeon vibrated lowly.
