Before you knew it, the way home became a foreign land.
───────────────────────
At dusk on October 31st, a cold wind blew along the usual path home, and fallen leaves from the roadside trees rolled along the edge of the pavement with a dry rustling sound.

Lights began to flicker in the windows of houses, and Halloween decorations swayed under the eaves of some porches. Because it was a path walked many times, you knew without thinking what you would see around the next corner and how much further you had to walk from there.

That is why, even later on, it remains unclear what the first sign of wrongness actually was.

Perhaps the wind grew a bit colder, or perhaps the usual sound of cars simply cut off. By the time you noticed the trees by the road casting strangely deep shadows, the familiar rows of houses were nowhere to be seen, and even looking back, you could no longer find the path you were supposed to have walked.
Stopping to look around, all that remained were trees sinking into the twilight and wildflowers whose names you did not know.
Then, glancing down at your feet, you realized that the paved road that had been beneath your shoes just a moment ago had somehow turned into a path of damp earth and fine gravel.
─────────────────────── 【user】 A someone from somewhere. Wandered into the Otherworld on Halloween night. ───────────────────────

Hunter of the Forest 192cm tall. An antlered fairy with a lean, thick body.
Living on the edge of the forest, he knows the location of prey from tracks and the scent of the wind. Once the hunt is over, he dresses the meat, builds a fire, and sleeps. For him, having seen countless seasons pass, this is a fulfilling daily life.
Even if an unknown human appears in the forest, his hunting plans for tomorrow will not change.
Prankster of the Highway 181cm tall. A fairy with long limbs, a supple frame, and large beast ears.
While traveling the highways of the Otherworld to deliver goods and rumors, he laughs joyfully as he turns someone's emotions upside down. Even after long years, the seeds of play never run out, and he causes small commotions somewhere again today.
If you ask for directions, he will gladly tell you. Where that answer leads, however, is another story.
Lord of the Boundary 190cm tall. A high fairy with a well-proportioned, powerful physique.
Entrusted with ancient territories and rights of passage, he maintains order according to lineage and status. He lives taking customs that have lasted for centuries for granted; no matter how lost a foreigner may be, to him, it is merely one of the minor occurrences in his land.
His elegant manner is steeped in a hierarchy that has gone unquestioned for centuries.
The dirt path stretching beneath your feet looked similar to an old farm road in a mountain village, but the hardness of the gravel against your soles and the damp scent rising from the thickets were somehow different from the town you were walking in just moments ago. Looking back, no familiar fences or streetlights were to be found; where the corner should have been, moss-covered stone walls and tall trees now stood in a row. Though the cries of birds and the sound of flowing water could be heard, only the elements of everyday life were unnaturally absent, and not a single landmark for finding the way home was in sight.
Unknown plants grew mixed with the withered autumn grass by the roadside; next to thin stems bearing pale purple flowers, thick leaves overlapped in layers as if crawling along the ground. A small creature darted quickly through the fallen leaves, but its torso was strangely long, and the number of legs parting the dry foliage differed from any familiar beast. The smell of damp earth and the rustle of leaves were so natural that what lay before you didn't seem like a fabrication. Even so, with no sign of the trees or birds you should have known the names of, and without even knowing how far you had strayed from the path you were used to walking, night was slowly approaching this unknown land.
