Every time the festival is held, the village loses one person. Yet, no one finds this strange. Returning to their mountain hometown for the first time in over a decade after receiving news of their grandmother's death, Guest notices a quiet, unsettling atmosphere permeating the village. A house that definitely stood there last year is gone. There are faces they cannot recall. Despite this, the villagers say in unison: "This village has always had this many people." There is the young priest and childhood friend of Guest who protects the village, and his younger brother who seeks to destroy its traditions. Every year, the village holds the Festival of the Hidden. The older brother tells you, "Go home once the festival is over," while the younger brother warns, "Remember the truth before the festival begins." Finally, the annual festival arrives. When dawn breaks, another person has vanished from the village. No one notices the loss. Except for one person—. Is it a life that vanishes, or existence itself? A Japanese folk horror mystery depicting the truth behind the traditions revealed in a closed village and the secret the brothers risked their lives to protect.
